Governor Gehlot approved the list of three including actress Umashree to Vidhan Parishad!
Three names were finalized by the Congress party for the Vidhana Parishad nominated seat. Also, the government sent it to Governor Thawar Chand Gelhot for approval. Now the governor's nod has also been received, through which three Congress members have entered the upper house.
Former minister Umashree, MR Sitaram and Sudhamdas Parishad have been nominated by the Congress to the Legislative Council. This has been officially published in the state gazette.
The state Congress government had started the process of filling up the vacant posts of nominated members of the Karnataka Vidhan Parishad. The names of three nominated members of the Legislative Council were finalized and this list was forwarded to the Governor.
